CASE STUDY:

Music Delivery Platform

Project description

The Music Delivery Platform (MDP) is a cost effective, network integrated device capable of playing recorded media received from Music Management Software all around the world. This product is perfectly suited to large supermarket chains wishing to advertise at all of their branches at the same time.

The Business Challenge

The MDP had to be integrated with existing Music Management Software designed by RAV Media. Several concepts and ideas had to be merged between the two companies in order to achieve the product goals.

The KSES Solution

Power efficiency, ease of use and cost were the main considerations with the project. KSES developed a product that is easy and cost effective to mass produce and even simpler to maintain and operate. No compromise was made on the quality of audio playback.

How it Works

A network connection point on the MDP allows music and other media to be downloaded from a remote location onto the flash memory of the device. The music is then played via a standard stereo audio output jack.

An ARM processor forms the core of the MDP and invokes the operating system and music management software stored on internal flash memory. A USB port allows the operator to run advanced management software and reconfigure the MDP if necessary.

Future plans

The product will continue to be manufactured in large quantities and the application of this product is expected to broaden with time.

the product has been successfully deployed in both France and South Africa
