Project Description
Keystone Electronic Solution was approached by a customer who already was established in the POTS (Analog) voice call recording market to solve problems that he was experiencing with production, failures in the field and quality of the recorded calls.
Hardware and Software Modifications
The Keystone Electronic Solution development team analyzed the existing design and made some modifications to the existing hardware as well as some software modifications in order to improve the quality of the product. Keystone Electronic Solutions also took responsibility for the post production modification, testing and programming of the product. This ensured the correct application of the post production modifications and also guaranteed the quality of the final product before shipment.Expanded Range of Products
The same client also wanted to expand his product range by providing ISDN voice call recorders as well as a web-based centralized call record server for call storage and selective playback.
2 Line USB ISDN BRI Voice Call Recorder
The ISDN Call Recorder
Keystone Electronic Solutions proceeded with the design and production of a 2 Line / 4 Interface S-Interface Basic Rate ISDN Call Recorder. The unit interfaces to the call record server via USB serial emulation and is a plug-and-play ISDN solution.Linux-based Call Record Server
Keystone Electronic Solutions also developed a Linux-based call record server in order interface to the ISDN recording hardware, keep a full call log in a database and manage the storage of the recorded calls. This server forms the core of a web-based call search and playback application that was outsourced to a third party.Responsibility for Testing and Implementation
Keystone Electronic Solutions has taken responsibility for the final testing and programming of the BRI ISDN call recorder as well as the installation and configuration of the Linux-based call record server.Drop-in Replacement
Following on the success of the BRI ISDN recorder, Keystone Electronic Solutions were contracted to develop a drop in replacement of the original POTS (Analog) recorder. Keystone Electronic solutions developed the replacement recorder to the same requirements as the original recorder but achieved significant improvements in audio quality and manufacturing.
